1. Apps to find overnight places

Traveling in a motorhome allows you to have great freedom when traveling and, although we can enjoy the adventure without having to plan the accommodation in advance, it is useful to know where can we stay overnight without problems. There are several mobile applications that allow us to carry out this search.

  • Park4Night: allow find overnight places, whether they are motorhome areas, campsites or parking lots where sleeping is allowed. It is prepared with the contributions of other travelers who, with their comments, keep the sites and their characteristics up to date. There is a free version and a PRO. The latter allows loading the database for when we are offline.

  • campercontact: in this app we can look for places specially designed for motorhomes. You are divided into subcategories: Parking with overnight stays allowed; Service areas, where the change of gray and black water is allowed, as well as the filling of the clean water tank but where overnight stays are not allowed; and “friendly” campsites for motorhomes, which are those that meet three conditions: possibility of discharging gray water, emptying of black water and filling of clean water.

2. Apps to facilitate navigation.

Getting lost in the motorhome is fine ... as long as it is a way of talking about our travels in freedom! To "get lost" with the peace of mind that we know where we are, it is better have a mobile application that facilitates navigation.

  • Google Maps: the google application allows create itineraries, search alternative routes and find points of interest during the journey. When we use it with an Internet connection, it also allows us to know the traffic in real time and if there is any incident on the route (accident, blocked road ...). In addition, we can search for restaurants, gas stations, camping sites, etc. thanks to the contributions of other users or the business managers themselves.

  • Waze: It is an application to navigate and find the best routes to our destination that is fed by the contributions of users, a community made up of more than 115 million people. They all contribute to real-time navigation service.

3. Apps to find campsites.

If ours is to stay with the motorhome in a camping, there are other exclusive applications to find them and enjoy all the comforts that they offer.

  • CampingES +: allows you to find camping for your getaways between 1.100 establishments with all their services, photos and updated rates, in addition to last minute offers, trips, reports and routes and recommendations of the best campsites.

Motorhomes are our little home while we're on the go and some mobile apps can make life even better when we're on the road.

Other mobile applications are very useful to help us enjoy the places where we stay with our caravan. If we are lovers of nature and walks, these apps will be very useful to us.
